I am extremely disappointed in TurboTax. My refund went from $4000 to $70 . I have been using TurboTax for 8 years and have never been cheated before. I will be calling the IRS and speaking to someone for sure. I tried contacting TurboTax because I purchased the protection plan and I get no answer whatsoever. Very disappointed and I will definitely get an answer from someone. In a time when people are struggling, we put our trust in TurboTax and we are mislead and feel that our trust has been violated, it is just sad and wrong.

The IRS does not tell TT when or why they adjust your refund, so wait for the letter in the mail from the IRS. You should get it in 2-4 weeks. However, the adjustment might be due to the Stimulus and/or the Advanced Child Tax Credit.

TT stands behind its calculations. However, it cannot know if you made a data entry mistake, forgot to claim some income, or misclaimed a deduction/credit.
