Where’s my refund?

I have not received my state or federal refund and it has been 21 days after being accepted. Worried mine won’t show up like many others.

Only the IRS and your State control when and if a Federal or State tax refund is Approved and Issued.

The 21 days is only an IRS target, it is not a guarantee.

After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.

The irs says it has been accepted and processed.

Then all you can do is wait. If there is a problem with your tax return the IRS will notify you by mail.
