I did my taxes with TurboTax and chose the 21 day option and have the fee paid with my return. I was shortened $1400!!! Says that I have dependents and I make over $75000. I don’t have children or dependents and I make wayyyyy less that $75k!!!!!!! What’s going on I see I am not the only one this is happening to! I need my money back!

The third Economic Impact Payment of $1400 per person was sent out in March of 2021. The IRS may be saying you got it and are asking for it again on you return.

I didn’t get the third stimulus that’s the problem.

IRS makes the adjustment and IRS sends the explanation letter.

As noted by the Taxpayer Advocate Report, the problem with IRS letters is they are confusing, and give only possible reasons for why your return could be adjusted, not the actual reason in your case.
