Missing $1500 from my tax refund

Money was automatically taken out of my tax refund, and I don't fall under the reasons given for the adjustment (zero dependants). In total, I am missing $1500. The IRS never picks up the phone. How do I resolve this??

Claiming one Child?

$1500 shorted because $3000 child credit was cut in half due to pre-tax credits of $250 a month for 6 month in 2021.

@krycus If you received half during the months of July to December then you only get another $1500. You got half of that $3000 ahead of time. Did you think you were supposed to get the full $3000? And end up getting a total of $4500 for the child?
