I filed back on 2/5/22 and just received my “refund” on 3/9/22 (part of what it was supposed to be). Said I was to receive it on 2/25/22. I got back $2,000 less! The details were not clear. Why do I get fee’d twice? TurboTax already fees me for my service ($200)(because I moved apparently but didn’t have anything to file in the new state) and then fee’d another $200 from TPG! Why? They didn’t do that last year! I just want to receive the rest of what’s mine.

Have you checked the IRS' Where's My Refund website? It may have information about a correction or an offset. For more details on why your refund could be less than expected, please see this Help Article.

Yes I have, I even called the irs and am getting no where. That still doesn’t explain why they took so much back. Or the extra fees?

It shouldn’t have been lowered at all though. All info I gave was accurate. The details I received couldn’t have been correct.

I’ve seen that this has happened to a lot and it’s messed up. We earned that money by working and they shouldn’t be able to take it like this.
