Access my 2020 file Online ... not the PDF File!

I want to open my 2020 'workbook' ... like when TurboTax online asks you all the questions, and you say "next" to go to the next section. I want to see what I put under Foreign Bank Accounts last year, as I have RRSP's in Canada. As they are not really 'bank accounts' ... not sure so want to see last year's!

I tried the account/recovery routine, and that didn't bring anything up. I downloaded the .tax file from my documents, but it won't open in turbotax online.

You need to download the .tax2020 file from Online. THEN you need to install the 2020 Desktop program to open it. If you paid for the Online version you can call in an ask for the Desktop program. Or you will need to buy the 2020 Desktop program here,

You will need a full Windows or Mac to install it on.

After you get the program installed the first thing to do before you open your tax return .tax file is to update the program and install any state programs you had. Then open your file. So you first might need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to FILE - NEW).
