How much is it different? Were you having the fees deducted from your refund? Federal and state refunds come separately from different places.

My TurboTax refund was $1661, my direct deposited refund was $6013, cannot figure out why? Can't get help from Turbo Tax or IRS. Not good afraid to spend it.

That sounds like my case but I’ve yet to receive any payment. IRS accepted the return Jan 28. But Is still processing.

This topic fits my situation, return was $39 less than I was expecting. I was never informed that there would be an additional fee for paying turbo tax with my return. If I had been made aware of it I would have just used my credit card and paid for it upfront. I feel like this was not adequately presented to the consumer. I never received a notice of fees associated with using this service as is indicated by this statement "We'll display the fees, if any, when you get ready to file." taken from the help topic for here:

@tinaherb The $39 service charge for the option to pay with the federal refund was shown on the page where you selected how to pay the TurboTax account fees. The service charge is from the third party processor who receives the federal tax refund, deducts the TurboTax fees and their service charge.
