Literally hundreds of people are having this problem for different reasons.

Some people are having the stimulus check amounts deduced from their returns. I don't know if this is a IRS problem or a turbotax problem.

Other people are having an issues with TPG either creating duplicate accounts or not sending the full refund.

Yes, it is less because you chose to to have your Turbo Tax fees deducted from your refund rather than pay it up front. The fee to do this is $39.99 plus the fee for your Turbo Tax product.
