Check your online account with the IRS. If this is a joint return you both need to check under your own SSN's.

And...check your own bank records for the CTC deposits that may have been made between July and December.

You need to enter the correct amount or your refund will be delayed.

If you have not receive Letter 6419 and you need to file your tax return, you can use the online CTC portals to check your information. Alternatively, you can get in touch with the IRS via mail or phone, with the latter being quicker and the number is: 800-829-1040.

If you contact the IRS via mail, expect to wait at least 30 days for a response.
