Once the tax return has been filed it cannot be changed, retrieved or cancelled.

You will have to amend your 2021 tax return to add the medical expenses as an itemized deduction on Schedule A.

An amended return, Form 1040-X, can only be printed and mailed to the IRS if the original tax return was not e-filed. The IRS will take up to 16 weeks or longer to process an amended tax return.

Before starting to amend the tax return, wait for the tax refund to be received or the taxes due to be paid and processed by the IRS.

See this TurboTax support FAQ for amending a 2021 return - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/amending/help/can-i-e-file-my-1040x-to-amend-my-return/00/26008

Additionally -

Health care insurance premiums and other medical expenses that you paid with out of pocket funds are an eligible medical expense that you can deduct using Schedule A for itemized deductions. However, only your total medical expenses that are greater than 7.5% of your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) can be deducted. Your total itemized deductions reported on Form 1040 Schedule A must be greater than the standard deduction for your filing status to have any tax benefit.

Standard deductions for 2021

Single - $12,550 add $1,700 if age 65 or older
Married Filing Separately - $12,550 add $1,350 if age 65 or older
Married Filing Jointly - $25,100 add $1,350 for each spouse age 65 or older
Head of Household - $18,800 add $1,700 if age 65 or older

Once you file a return, you cannot "edit" it. It's like sending a letter through the mail - once it's mailed you can't call it back to change it.

However, there is a process to "amend" your return. You can do this after the IRS is finished with the initial e-file processing. You usually know this when they send you a refund (if you deserve one).

The form to amend your return is the 1040X which I don't think is available yet in TurboTax.

Since you have already filed, you will need to amend your return. Please see this TurboTax Help page on how to amend.

Be sure to watch this page from time to time to see when (and how) you can start the process.
