Yes. If you have a debt such as student loans, back child support or tax debts, the IRS can seize your federal tax refund to pay for those debts.

Yes. If you owe back taxes or child support your 2021 refund can be seized. TurboTax never knows about offsets to your refund. If the IRS takes your refund they will send you a letter afterward.
