If you are eligible to claim him and that is what he reported on his return you should be able to claim him. Check that he did file that way.

Clarification to original questions asked. We are not eligible to claim him. I did not realize that at his age he had to be a full time student in order to claim him. He is not a student but still lives at home and we pay for pretty much everything to support him. He has a full time job though. Just making sure I helped with his taxes and hoping I didn’t screw him out of a bigger refund by thinking we could claim him and selecting that choose on his tax. It wasn’t until working on my own taxes that I realized I couldn’t claim him.

To get his stimulus he would have to amend his return to reflect that no one else can claim him. Unfortunately amended returns can take 6 months to process.
