Tax Topic 152, it's just a generic reference code. Your return is still being processed and has yet to be approved or rejected. The bottom line is that if you receive a message indicating you should reference Tax Topic 152, there is no need to panic. Your refund will likely continue to process, but it may take a little longer than expected.

The IRS did delay returns that have the Earned Income Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit. The IRS states that most returns with those credits will start receiving refunds in late Feb or early March.
