Same here my WMR says the same but my trabsprits give me a 846 code with a DD of 2/24/2022. I owe no taxes that for sure so i have no clue what going on !

i called this number to see if i had any offsets and i did not and i expected you dont either [phone number removed]

its the BFS https://fiscal.treasury.gov/tax-refund-offset.html and our transcripts are accurate and the WMR id broken or different this year !

I called the offset number and it says I don't have an offset so I wonder what is going on because I know I didn't make a lot of money I made only 36056 and that's with two w2s they didn't give me all my child tax credit they only gave me 750

I got a code 826 credit transfered out that's what it says on my transcript

According to the IRS’ Section 8A - Master File Codes, transaction code (TC) 826 indicates that a “debit for the amount of overpayment credit transferred to another tax module within this taxpayer’s account. The corresponding credit is 706.”

You should see the amount of the transfer next to TC 826, and you should be able to identify what tax year the amount was transferred to next to TC 706, if you see that.

I Looked on my transcript but i didn't see a code 706. Is there by anyway i could of put something wrong when i filed my taxes because i did them through turbo tax and they ask ,e for my AGI from 2020 tax return. I'm just so confused because i've never had my taxes reduced

You could have a refund offset which is when the government applies part or all of a taxpayer's refund towards the taxpayer's past-due income tax, child or spousal support, student loans, or state unemployment compensation debts.

If this is the case, you'll get an official explanatory letter from the government. You can also check this information by looking up your refund at the IRS Where's My Refund page, or contact the IRS directly for assistance.

I called the number that someone gave me on here to see if my refund was offset or did I have a debt and it told me when I entered my information that I have neither one. Then I called the student loan people and my student loans are in forbearance until may 1 my first payment ain't until June 21,2022. But last year I did take a loan out with another tax preparation but it was only for 1200 dollars and they took my state tax of 400 dollars and paid them so I didn't owe them but 800 dollars. But irs took 3152.17 of my money and I don't know why. I didn't get paid all my child tax money they only paid me 750 dollars of that.

@letitiadavis986 Did you use Deluxe? Deluxe is 39.99 for federal and 39.99 for state. Then if you want to have the fees deducted from your federal refund there is an EXTRA $40 Refund Processing Service charge.
