Estimated refund date.

Turbo Tax estimates my refund will be 2/18/2022 which I am using direct deposit, but the 'my refund status' hasn't been updated yet and today is 2/16/2022, why is that?

Do not count on the estimated date from TurboTax. It is only an estimate--not a promise or guarantee. Only the IRS controls when you get your refund. Track it on the IRS site.

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2021 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
