What makes you think this is wrong? If most or all of your income is from wages, your withholding was probably close to what you owed. Federal and state tax laws differ.

I didn't owe anything that I know of and this is my first time filing for myself so I'm not sure if it's correct

It is probably correct and you probably did not do anything wrong. You can preview your state tax summary. It should show, near the bottom, the total amount of tax you owe and what was withheld from your pay and the amount of tax due or refund on your return.

To preview your state tax return:

Open or continue your return.
Select Tax Tools in the left menu (if you don't see this, select the menu icon in the upper-left corner).
With the Tax Tools menu open, you can then:
- Preview your entire return: Select Print Center and then Print, Save, or Preview This Year's Return (you may be asked to register or pay first).
- View only your 1040 form: Select Tools. Next, select View Tax Summary in the pop-up, then Preview my 1040 in the left menu.
- Click on your State Summary to review the state summary.
