After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.

Hi I received a letter from Ohio department of taxation its an income tax billing notice variance letter saying I owe and I will not get my federal refund what is going on help please

Call Ohio ... they are the ones that are attaching your federal refund which they can do. Which tax year are they talking about ... seems way too early for the 2021 returns.
