So I missed one of my husbands W-2's while filing this year and when I went back to amend our return and add it, the refund amounts seem strange. Just curious if anyone has any insight?
Original filing was State:1488 refund, Fed:402 owed.
Amended says State:1431 refund, Fed:187 owed.
TT FAQ says the amended numbers are unrelated to the original ones, that seems not right to me. Thoughts?

The TT program has been updated to reflect the new Federal (and State, if applicable) $10,200 exemption for unemployment comp. Could that be it?

Neither of us has drawn UE, so don't think it has to do with that. Just wondering if I owe the 402 and the 187?

I already got the 1488 refund back, so am I going to owe 57 back from that or is the 1431 a separate amount?

Just a little confused.
