      <description>&lt;P&gt;No, you should go ahead and file your return for 2017. Your return from 2017 can be e-filed electronically and will be handled separately. You should use the same account that you used prior to file both returns. &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In order to &lt;U&gt;amend&lt;/U&gt; the return see the instructions below:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Make sure your return was accepted/received by the IRS &lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Then, &lt;A href="https://myturbotax.intuit.com/" target="_blank"&gt;sign in with the login you used for your 2016 return&lt;/A&gt;.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Select&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;Show&lt;/STRONG&gt; on the line that says,&amp;nbsp;&lt;EM&gt;Your past tax returns &amp;amp; documents&lt;/EM&gt;.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Select&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;2016&lt;/STRONG&gt;, and then&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;Amend (change) 2016 return&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Now follow the onscreen instructions.&lt;/LI&gt;
