How do I either add a zero to the 1040 line 21 or get rid of the zeros in line 7 on the 1040X because I have retried the entire amend process three times and have not gotten it to correct this problem.

When I was initially filing I said my parents were claiming me as a dependent but then when they went to file they decided to not claim me since I am in college. So I needed to change mine to that I am not claimed as a dependent and needed to add my educational expenses.

This is the same exact problem that I am having. Same circumstances too. It literally doesn't make any sense to me how I paid for this expensive program so that they could take care of my taxes only to find out that the "expensive program" has a bug that is screwing me. It seems they know about it however I have been following along for this since the 26th and nothing has changed in the program and no updates have been given to us who have paid or trusted turbo tax.

If you are amending to correct your Unemployment Compensation,

there’s no need to amend your federal return to update your unemployment income—the IRS announced that they will automatically adjust your return and send any additional refund amount directly to you.

I am amending because I am not claimed as a dependent anymore and on initial filing I put that I was claimed as a dependent, and therefore now I qualify for the Covid relief that I didn't get. My parents decided to not claim me this year since I am making enough income for myself now. I also needed to add my education expenses since upon initial filing I had not yet recieved the correct tax document from my school.
