Refund missing back stimulus for 2020 baby...

Our fed refund is finally pending in our account, and it’s missing the amount of the past stimulus amounts for our baby born in 2020- is was approved as it was submitted (with the extra amount) so I’m curious if anyone else has had this happen?

A few others have posted this. Just a guess, but it may be that the IRS SSN database hasn't been fully updated for 2020 births yet. You will be getting a letter from the IRS, so please post back and let us know what it says.

Same situation, has happened to hundreds if not thousands of people this year. I contacted a tax advocate and he said we will get a letter with instructions on what to do if we disagree with the adjustment.

Just wanted to give you an update, I received my refund minus the missing recovery rebate I claimed for my daughter born in 2020 this week. I called the number/extension that wheres my refund showed. First rep said she didnt know how to help because she said 2020 dependents werent eligible. I then decided to download the recovery rebate worksheet and explain exactly what it said and I called back expecting the same thing. Second reo knew exactly what had happened and fixed it, she said allow 2 weeks for the difference to be deposited.

Its just the instructions for line 30 of 1040 on irs.gov, i dont believe I can post links.

And I just called the normal IRS number but used extension 332 and reference code 9021.

Ours is pending today and it is missing too for our child born in 2020. What is strange is we have two amounts pending, one is our tax return without the back stimulus and the is the latest stimulus (February stimulus) for our 2020 baby I’m assuming. He was born in April so I was told I would get bath both stimulus.
