Yes, beginning with 2019 federal tax returns, you can e-file your 1040X. Just follow these instructions. However, amended federal tax returns for previous years must be printed and mailed.

Three weeks after mailing your amendment, you can start tracking it at Where's My Amended Return? on IRS.gov.

It did not answer the question about filing an amended return for 2020. It answered the question about filing for 2019.

The form 1040X amended return is not quite ready yet in TurboTax for tax year 2020. If you need to make a correction on your tax return see this: How do I amend my 2020 TurboTax Online return?
