Stop 6525 Notice

I received a Stop 6525 notice where the IRS offset my refund due. Once this letter is received, when should I expect my refund? If I check the WMR do I look for the initial refund amount or the adjusted amount? Thanks.

Was the notice mailed to you? And was the offset due to the stimulus money? I think Im having the same issue? but its been almost 30 days and I still get its processing!!!

Hi. Yes the notice was mailed to me. My offset was not due to stimulus. It showed my refund amount due minus the offset with the refund balance. But I haven’t received the refund yet. I’m curious as to how long it takes. The letter reads 2-3 weeks but that time has passed and I still haven’t gotten it.
I don’t know how to check the WMR site. Do I look for the original refund amount or the adjusted amount.

Hey!Im not sure what amount you would check for. I did calculate my stimulus refunds wrong,

and Ive heard that the IRS would subtract that from the amount you filed and then issue the

correct refund amount. I even check the IRS for my cycle code. I see both of my stimulus amounts

and the amount of the refund but no date or anything else. I know that my WMR has not work for

three weeks now. I filed 1/13....accepted 2/12 and all i get is still processing. I guess now its

just a waiting game...Fingers crossed for everyone waiting!!!!

What’s a cycle code? I didn’t get a stimulus so I was able to enter that into my taxes. This stuff is so frustrating. Hopefully we will both hear something soon.
