So earlier today I filed my taxes and refund was like $100 so I went back and looked and I answered yes to being a dependent but said no , someone plans to claim me as their dependent.
my mom did her taxes last month on the 7th of Feb and claimed me as her dependent because I am . Now I have to wait till March 25th to amend but will my mistake affect her tax return and her ability to get the new stimulus that’s suppose to roll out this month?

Most likely your return will be rejected, because your SSN is already on Mom's return as a dependent.. Once it does, you can just fix the dependent questions and resubmit.

But first look at your actual Form 1040, and see if the Someone Can Claim You as a Dependent box (tiny print) is checked in the Standard Deduction section towards the top. If so, you already did it correctly.

Yea I’m looking at it now and someone can claim : you as a dependent is checked but on TurboTax I answered yes I am a dependent and no someone plans to claim me . When you say resubmit , would I be able to Efile again and just change it or would I have to amend .
