Turbo tax has taken my money lied about my returns being accepted on 2/11 when that isn’t possible. It’s Turbo Tax customers with this issue with taxes accepted early. Who comes on here after they’ve received their taxes with no issues. Turbo Tax is scamming people. We all need to boycott Turbo Tax.

The IRS accepted several random small test batches of 2020 returns prior to February 12 when the tax season "opened" officially, so it is possible that your return was in one of those test batches.

Once your return was accepted, only the IRS is in control. You can track your refund on the IRS site.

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer. Many refunds are taking longer during the pandemic.

First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

If accepted, they try to process it within three weeks but it can be longer. if you have earned income credit or additional child tax credit, it will be at least the end of February before you see your refund, due to the PATH act that requires that they hold your refund longer.

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 34of your 2020 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

Turbo Tax is scamming people. They tell you to file early just to be caught up in a cyclic processing system with the IRS. I feel so scammed. Needed funds for my household will not be received due to Turbo Tax. IRS just updated again and my refund is . . . Guess what? Processing . A date will be posted when available. I absolutely hate TurboTax!!!!
