Go to Federal > Wages and Income, and change it there.

I put in a figure for real estate taxes paid before I got my 1098, just as an estimate. How do I update it? The form doesn't seem to permit corrections.

It's not income, it's a deduction.

How do I correct an entry for a deduction for 1098 mortgage interest paid. I entered the wrong figure.

In TurboTax Online:

Select Deductions & Credits at the top of the page

Your tax breaks will show Mortgage Interest and Refinancing, and Property (Real Estate) Taxes with amounts listed for each if you have entered something for each

Choose edit or review by the one that you need to change, Mortgage Interest or Property Taxes, and change the number
