Normally, taxpayers can either request a tax return transcript or order a full copy of a previously-filed return from the IRS.

However, the IRS has suspended virtually all manual operations due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. This includes requests for copies of tax returns and mailed transcripts.

Only online tax return transcripts, which you can view, download, and print, are currently available through the IRS Get Transcript page.

Transcripts include most line items from your return, like your AGI, and look like this. They're available for tax years 2017 through 2020 and are free.

Please explain what you mean by "a previous tax year history." Are you simply asking how to download a copy of a prior tax return that you prepared in Online TurboTax? As long as it was prepared in Online TurboTax, we can tell you how you may be able to find and download it from your Online account. @ TerukoL left you a link for accessing prior returns prepared in Online TurboTax.

If you prepared it in Online TurboTax, but don't find it in your account, you may have multiple accounts that we can help you troubleshoot.
