Does 846 Code = Approved?

WMR @first bar, "being processed...within 21 days", Code 152 on 02/10

Transcript Code 846, 02/17

This morning (02/17) my IRS Transcript Account page showed Code 846 - Refund Issued, with a date of 02/22. My WMR has not changed from the the first orange bar. The last four digits of my Cycle code are 0701 which, if I'm not mistaken, makes me a daily updater...???

So here's my question: with the 846 Code can I safely assume my Return has been approved?

Your question is clear. I would not like to assume in these types of situations.

If the IRS Where's My Refund website doesn't seem to be accurately updating, you can try the automated hotline instead: 1-800-829-1954; you may have a better chance of getting your refund status this way.

Just remember that Covid-19 continues to cause delays in some of the IRS processes. I would suggest checking back periodically.

@kritter81 , sorry I haven't been on the site in a couple days. My refund was actually in my account on 02/20. Hope this helps.
