UPDATE:

NC does allow 3rd party tax payments thru bank debit now. It took 2 weeks, but mine went thru via TurboTax.

My 2020 desktop TurboTax software prompted me with the option to pay my NC taxes thru direct debit via TurboTax. I entered my info as prompted with a scheduled payment date that was over 10 days ago. Why hasn't the payment been submitted and when will it? I've just viewed some prior 2019 responses say that NC doesn't allow that. Has that changed for 2020? If it hasn't, then why does TurboTax give you the option to do it?

When you get ready to file your state return, we'll let you know which tax refund and tax payment options your particular state offers. I checked your state North Carolina (NC) and it shows the following for taxes due options:

Every state processes refunds and taxes due differently and at different times. You can contact your state directly, to see how long it takes for them to pull your payment, if it has not come out yet.
