Amend 2019 return in 2021.

I used Turbotax Live Premier to file an extension for 2019 with calculated tax due paid on July 15. I never filed my actual 2019 return and need to do so now. Intuit instructed me to download my 2019 return then download Turbotax desktop 2019 to open the downloaded return. Do I have to download and PAY for the desktop version? I already paid Intuit over $100 for the online version.

No it’s 100% FREE

once you download the .tax file AND the TurboTax Desktop 2019, go into the TurboTax Desktop 2019 and click on “amend”, that’s where you’ll open the .tax file you recently downloaded
