I think it said processing would begin on February 12th but I was wondering if it was going to take that long

Yes. The IRS starts processing returns on February 12, 2021. A few returns will be processed up to a week before this date for testing purposes. If your return is among those that the IRS processes early as part of its testing, your tax refund (if any) won't be processed until after February 12, 2021.
