TurboTax does not handle money at all. Please choose an option and review the answers.

1. You paid for your return before filing or

2. Did you have the fees taken from your refund or get the Green Dot debit card

If #1, the stimulus check will go to your bank account/ home address directly from the IRS - the same as your federal refund.

If #2, the stimulus check will go to SBTPG/Green Dot and then be routed to you. My understanding is an additional 1-2 days. Anybody that chose to pay their TurboTax fee out of their refund opted to have SBTPG as an intermediary. You may contact Green Dot at 888-285-4169.

You may check the status of your payment at IRS.gov/GetMyPayment.

What about direct deposit. I did have fees taken out but i didn't have that green card so am i still getting it or am I screwed

Hello,

We are happy to share that stimulus payments will begin to be deposited today, Jan 8th, for millions of our customers affected by the IRS error. We expect most of these payments to be available today, but banks could take a few business days to process. Payment will be deposited into the same bank account that customers received their 2019 tax refund. Customers receiving a stimulus payment received an email from TurboTax letting them know their stimulus payment is on the way.

I recieved it at 2 a.m. i was very happy. The irs did mot handle this well at all. Not looking forward to another round very much

The IRS error delayed payments for many taxpayers, but that has been corrected and the payments started to show up yesterday. Happy to hear that your payment was received; hopefully many more will find their payments today as well!
