The payment will go to the account you entered for direct deposit on the 2019 tax return. If the account is closed the IRS will send the payment by mail or on a debit card.

If you are eligible the second stimulus will be deposited on or before 01/15/2021. If it is not received , then you will be able to get the stimulus as a credit on your 2020 federal tax return.

The stimulus payment will go to the account you entered for direct deposit on the 2019 tax return. The direct deposit information cannot be changed. If the account is closed the IRS will send the payment by mail or on a debit card.
