      <description>&lt;P&gt;Yes it does. I claimed him as a dependent because I provided over 90% of his living expenses while he was living at home and working very minimally. Can this be corrected without amending both our taxes?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;then he is your dependent.... you always have the option of not claiming him (and if you amend then you will owe the $500 tax credit back) HOWEVER, he is required to answer the question CAN someone else claim him.&amp;nbsp; it does not ask DID someone else claim him.&amp;nbsp; He isn't eligible for the stimulus even if you remove him as a dependent.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;the real question is what happened in 2020? THAT is what ultimately determines whether is eligible for the stimulus.&amp;nbsp; 2019 doesn't matter anymore - and that is true for both stimulus payments&lt;/P&gt;</description>
