If you don't get a W2 what do you get? Are you a 1099 independent contractor? What kind of income do you get? The W2s don't come until January. Maybe not until the end of January. You can't file until you get the actual W2.

What are you trying to do? No 2020 tax return can be filed yet. The IRS will not begin to accept 2020 returns until the end of January. Wait for your W-2 and prepare your return correctly.

Or do you mean that instead of income that is reported on a W-2 you will have income reported on some other kinds of documents like 1099NEC or retirement income, etc.?

if you're getting a W-2 do not attempt to enter data from check stubs.
