If you paid alimony in 2018, entered the correct Social Security number of the recipient of the alimony then there should have been no issue with the IRS concerning the alimony payment.

Contact the IRS using the phone number provided on the notice to get more information.

TurboTax cannot contact the IRS on your behalf.

You can use the TurboTax Audit Support Center website and speak with an agent who can help you understand the IRS notice you received and give you guidance on your next steps to take with the IRS - https://support.turbotax.intuit.com/irs-notice/audit-support/

TurobTax support is open from 5am to 5pm Pacific time, Monday thru Friday

If the EX did not report the alimony as income then that may have triggered the CP2000 notice. To refute their conclusion you would need to show proof the alimony was paid as you claim and that it was indeed alimony ( give them a copy of the divorce decree ... front page, signature page and the page that spells out the alimony terms will do).
