TurboTax will be offering a refund advance loan —but not until January. And you do not get the money until the 2020 e-file has been ACCEPTED by the IRS.You also have to agree to receive your refund on the prepaid TurboTax Visa.

In the past they had an Advance on your refund. We don't know if they will offer an Advance again. But if they do it won't be until after January 1 and just when you are ready to file. And only if they offered it to you. You can't self select it. And you don't get it until your tax return is accepted by the IRS.

TurboTax is offering refund advance loans to those who qualify. If you qualify the loan is offered at the time that you file your tax return.

You do not get the money until the 2020 e-file has been ACCEPTED by the IRS.You also have to agree to receive your refund on the prepaid TurboTax Visa.

The IRS will begin to accept/reject 2020 returns on February 12, 2021

You can apply for a refund advance during the filing process. On the screen, How would you like to receive your federal refund? select Refund Advance and follow the instructions on the screens.

If you have already filed your return then you will not be able to apply for the refund advance. If you have not yet filed then you would just select refund advance as your refund option when asked @Mgracia75.

@EbonyA The Refund Advance program ended on Feb 15.
