A credit card is not entered on an amended tax return. If you have taxes owed on the amended return the payment is either with a check included with the mailed return or paid using the IRS payment website - https://www.irs.gov/payments

If they allowed you to enter direct debit info on an efiled amended return and you need to correct it then sorry it cannot be done. If the IRS cannot do the debit they will bill you for the balance due. OR you can make a payment online at www.IRS.gov/payment
