Due to the Covid situation the IRS is 3+ months behind in processing returns ... patience will be needed by all.

You filed tax returns for 2018 and 2019 in April? Hope you used the right software for the 2018 return---it had to be prepared using 2018 desktop software and it had to be mailed. Only the 2019 return could be e-filed. The return you mailed will take a long time. Mailed returns piled up in trailers for several months, and now they are just starting to open the millions of envelopes. You will never see anything about the 2018 return on the IRS refund site, which is only for 2019 refunds, so all you can do is wait for them to process the 2018 return--and it will likely take months.

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 20 of your Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
