Children do not receive any checks. Only the parent that claimed the child (under age 17) on their tax return as a dependent will receive a $500 dependent child payment.

If it wasn't included with your check for children listed on your return you can claim the missing amount when you file your 2020 return next year.

You will receive any additional credit to which you were entitled when you file your 2020 taxes. See question #27 here

Me and my wife got our check combined but the children who are dependents one is 9 year old and other is 7 did not get the $500 check
