My friend LUCY Rezendes did my income tax With TurboTax her number is [phone number removed] she said it was gonna be a delay because of the pandemic that’s going on right now I said OK I receive my stimulus check already I have not received my income tax for 2020 she said she never received a confirmation from TurboTax

@MG06 Please do not try to post phone numbers on this public web site. The filter removes phone numbers for your security since this site can be viewed by anyone using the internet.

If your friend prepared your tax return and did not receive any emails about whether it was accepted or rejected she may not have filed it correctly. She has to check it using the account and user ID that she used when she e-filed it:

Did you e-file? Did you click a big orange button that said “Transmit my returns now?”

When you e-file your federal return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first one will say that your return was submitted. The second email will tell you if your federal return was accepted or rejected. If you e-filed a state return, there will be a third email to tell you if the state accepted or rejected your state return.

First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

If the IRS accepted it, what does it say here?

Or does your account say “Ready to Mail?”

Note: If it says “Ready to Mail” or “Printed” that means YOU have to mail it yourself. TurboTax does not mail your tax return for you.

OR----if you know the exact amount of your refund from line 20 of your Form 1040, you can look on the IRS site yourself for it.
