If I made a mistake while filing my return can I change it? My refund doesn’t look right at all

Hello,

Yes, you can amend (make changes to) your filed return. You can amend e-filed returns if they've been accepted, though if your e-file is still pending, you won't be able to make changes until the IRS either accepts or rejects it. Paper-filed returns may be amended once they've been mailed.
