It's been 7 weeks since I e filed with form 8862 . Why is it taking so long to get My refund back

There have been delays at the IRS due to staff shortages with the virus and the focus on launching the stimulus payments. The IRS actually quit processing returns for awhile. They are reportedly processing them again so hopefully yours will get processed soon.

All you can do is track the status of your refund at the IRS tracking web site:
