I have TuboTax 2018 on a Mac. When I try to open a return I see the 2014 file but it is "greyed out" and I can't open it.

In order to open a .tax2014, you need the 2014 Desktop software installed on your computer. Unfortunately, TurboTax no longer sells or supports the 2014 software. If you were to find it somewhere on the internet, you would not be able to get the updates.

You might be able to find a site that would convert a .tax2014 file to a PDF, then you can open the return in Adobe Reader
