I filled out a 1040X for this years return. now when i print out this years return it only indicates the difference in what i owe the IRS and not the total that i owe. I can see the amount in the summary section but not in the printout.

Before you begin an amended return, TurboTax suggests that you save a copy of the return as it was originally filed. That is where you will see the original amount owed or the original refund.

After you amend the return, the form 1040 changes to show what the new situation is. You can see a comparison of what was originally filed and what the new amounts are on the 1040X.
