Stimulus check question

Because I filed with TT Im sure the IRS didn't have my correct bank info for DD.

I was finally able to access the get my payment tool last week to input my direct deposit info.

I went to check on the status of my check today and it says they are mailing my check on May 1.

Does anyone know why they would have me put in my bank info and then a week later say the check will be mailed? Has anyone had this happen?

I'm concerned because they haven't totally processed my 2019 return and I moved since I filed last year. My PO forwarding order is of course expiring my the end of this month.

what day did you update your bank info? the IRS stated they took all the updates through April 22 and those are the ones that are being direct deposit this week. Maybe you missed the cutoff and your check was queued to go out this week in any event?

I believe it was Thursday.

It's possible but up until that day it kept saying that they couldn't determine my eligibility for a check.

I guess it's a wait and see. Just hoping it gets to me at the correct address.
