    <description>&lt;P&gt;Thank you.&amp;nbsp; That is what my common sense was telling me but I guess I thought maybe they would put that on the "where's my amended return" screen. That way it takes the panic out of the situation.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I sent an amendment around 6 weeks ago and when I go to the IRS website "where is my amended return", it says it is not in the system and to allow up to 3 weeks to be entered into the system and up to 16 weeks to process.&amp;nbsp; Is anyone else having this issue?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;In normal times it would be about three weeks and you would see something about your amended return on the IRS site.&amp;nbsp; These are not normal times.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P class="p1"&gt;&lt;SPAN class="s1"&gt;Per the IRS website&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/irs-operations-during-covid-19-mission-critical-functions-continue" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;SPAN class="s2"&gt;IRS Operations During COVID-19: Mission-critical functions continue&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/A&gt;:&amp;nbsp;&lt;I&gt;The IRS is not currently able to process individual paper tax returns. If you already have filed via paper but it has not yet been processed, do not file a second tax return or write to the IRS to inquire about the status of your return or your economic impact payment. Paper returns will be processed&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;once processing centers are able to reopen.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/I&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
