Im trying to figu=e out where the IRS is sending my stimulas check. I've tried calling but they're closed. I filled my 2019 taxes through TurboTax but can't get am answer

Itsaid that it might go to the address where my 2018 taxes were sent but I've explained to turbo tax before that me and my wife split up in 2018 and she filed my taxes without my knowledge so I don't know any of the info she used and she won't tell me. Please tell me what what I can do to find out where my stimulas check is being sent

The IRS rolled out the "Get My Payment" tool here. According to IRS.gov, you can use the "Get My Payment" application to:

Check your payment status
Confirm your payment type: direct deposit or check
Enter your bank account information for direct deposit if the IRS doesn't have your direct deposit information and if they haven't sent your payment yet.
Receive paper check payments: If you moved since you last filed, let us know your new mailing address.

I filed my taxes for 2019 and received them earlier this year. I used the free edition for turbo tax and didnt get an advance on my taxes. I also got the turbo tax debit card for my taxes and have it still and its active. I cant use the get my payment feature with the irs to check deposit info because it says its unavailable. I have yet to have gotten the stimulus and there is no info or any one to contact about it.

How can I find out exactly if my stimulas check is coming to me and not somewhere else? I filed my 2020 taxes through TurboTax but haven't heard anything about if im getting a stimulas check or where it's being sent.

So im not going to get $1000 for my dependents that's so crazy i know people who went with netspend and chime and got they expected amount but not me why because i trustex Turbo Tax

My extreme disappointment with Turbotax is that I was informed about the problem with Stimulus payments by reading the yahoo page news from the Washington Post newspaper, NOT from an email from Turbotax. The article explained that many users of Turbotax, H&R Block and other tax preparer companies did not receive their payments like those tax payers that didn't use the services. I guess the Washington Post keeps up with tax news better that Turbotax. Maybe sometime in the future Turbotax will actully advise their customers about the situation.....

Can you please give me a little more information in regards to this please. I am also having problems with my taxes which the IRS.gov has no recollection of my taxes but turbotax says that they accepted my taxes. How is this possible.

So should I wait until my refund from my taxes is received , I filed 04/17/20... and my stuff went thru , saying its processing but I have a date that my income tax refund will be in my account 05/08/20 BUT I filed an 8379 injuried spouse , so im I WAITING longer then a few weeks isn't like 11-14 weeks ..if that's the case then TURBO tax is ripping me off 215.00 when I could of filed for free !!! last year it took 4 months to get 420 !!!!!! Please someone help !!! And last but not least if someone owes back child support IS the IRS paying with stimulus cash ??? if so isn't that a little harsh as in whom has the kids gets cash weekly , then the paying person DOESN'T SEE INCOMES TAXES , then mum get 2000 each for her kids plus 10000 for making 20000 a year , NOW THEY GET 1200 , plus 500 each kid and the one paying child support is still behind with no help to the men and some women to get caught up on BILLS THAT PAY CHILD Support !!! I want facts not candy coating !!!! and I paid child support and was behind once , my husband on other hand is not caught up !!! and I file 8379 ...we need our refund , has anyone had their stimulus package took due to back support !!!!

@Ebayjackson - the IRS will be sending letters within 15 days of the stimulus payment to explain everything

and I assume your children are under 17 years old, right?

here is the worst case scenario:

The stimulus payments are really based on your 2020 tax return (income, dependents, etc).
The IRS is using either 2018 or 2019 – whatever is available - to ESTIMATE that payment
When you file next year there will be a “settle up” section on the tax return.
If you are due more stimulus (and this would include where children were left off the payment including children born in 2019 or 2020)), you will receive it through the 2020 tax filing as an additional refund.
If you received too much, by law, you are not required to return it

I try to look on the IRS Get my payment tab and it says that it can’t confirm that I am eligible. I’ve moved and changed banks since 2018 taxes and it doesn’t show that my 2019 were filed (which they were accepted by the IRS on 4/14/20). How can I get them my current info if TurboTax is not transferring the information from this years taxes?

@mkeebler122079 -from other posts, it appears the stimulus payment may be waiting on the 2019 tax return to be processed. suggest checking once per week for the next few weeks to see if you are able to update the banking information. Was it on your tax return?

Thanks for responding. Unfortunately I owe taxes this year so it won’t have my banking info from direct deposit. My taxes were accepted by the IRS on TurboTax so I guess I just don’t understand why it doesn’t show on IRS.GOV. I’m checking often but it still just says that they don’t show that I’m eligible. I don’t want to miss out on any stimulus money because I am hurting financially too!!
