The IRS is currently not processing paper-filed returns due to COVID-19. Did you file your 2018 return? If so, and you qualified for the stimulus based on the information in that return, then the IRS can use that information to process the payment.

To check the status of your stimulus, you can use the IRS "Get My Payment" tool here. According to IRS.gov, you can use the "Get My Payment" application to:

Check your payment status
Confirm your payment type: direct deposit or check
Enter your bank account information for direct deposit if we don't have your direct deposit information and we haven't sent your payment yet.
Receive paper check payments: If you moved since you last filed, let us know your new mailing address.

When will the irs start processing paper taxes? I didnt file my 2018 taxes because i was incarcerated. So i wont receive a stimulus check. I need some money. I mailed my 2019 taxes at the end of February because i need a ip pen. This was right before the pandemic. Now i cant contact anyone

I've gone to the Get Payment status. I put in the information it asks and it just says Payment Status Not Available. I've tried both my husband's information and my information, with the same result. When I sign into the IRS (and when it doesn't error out and actually gets in) it has no info on our 2019 tax return that was "accepted" via Turbotax a week ago. I can't get any info. When I go online to Turbotax and sign in, it wants to keep continuing to complete our tax return (I completed our return via downloaded Turbotax)...SO FRUSTRATING.
