Not unless your return contained a 8880 (Savers Credit) form and the adjusted amount might change the amount of credit, otherwise, that will have no affect on your tax return and does not go on your tax return at all.

Thank you - also, does this also not affect what may need to be paid/etc? I did not get an 8880 form.

So in essence, I don't even have to worry about the correction on this w-2 because it doesn't affect anything I would have to pay, or would get in a refund?

The W-2 box 12 code D does not go on a tax return at all, but it can be used to determine any Savers Credit. If no 8880 form then there is no reason to even enter it because it does not do anything else. The IRS gets that information from the copy for the form sent by your employer, not you.
